Hey Yackie

This is little blog to introduce you to Jackie's alter-ego Yackie. Beware, she can get a little crazy.

I knew it was safe to post this lovely pic because Jackie aka Yackie is in San Francisco with Faryl getting ready for the Farylrobin Nordstrom Downtown San Francisco Centre event this Saturday, 11am-3pm. So if you are in the SF area stop on in and say you saw the famous Yackie online!

Yackie, hurry up and get back to the NY office. Evelyn misses your signature dance moves to Beyonce.....

San Diego or Bust...

Yikes, I can not believe I have not written about San Diego...it has been so busy!
This was an important trip for us, extremely, for a number of reasons. First and foremost because it was our very last trip with Mark. I miss him already. He left us for Minnetonka, can you believe it? I want to make sure that it is clear how much we love and miss him. Mark, you are always welcome in the nest that you helped build. We could not have done it without you! Jackie is a mess!!!

It's also important to mention my very first encounter with Faryl San Diego. Faryl..thanks for stopping by Bloomingdales to say hi. You are officially the very first Faryl that I have ever met face to face (other than myself in the mirror).

We had an awesome time speaking with students from FIDM San Diego and Fashion Careers College. You guys rock! Especially the street team!

Thanks to Bloomingdales San Diego for supporting our brand and applauding our very first Farylrobin walk off.

I am including a few photo's of the nest in flight. I am leaving for Chicago tomorrow and looking forward to round two.

Show Me the Fast Money

Normally when we take Faryl to the Conde Nast Building she enters on the south side of the buidling to meet with the editors at Vogue, Lucky, Glamour, Jane or Allure, but on Monday she entered on the west side of the building to visit the Nasdaq Headquarters, home to CNBC's top rated primetime show, Fast Money. Faryl spoke with the Wall Street gurus about her business and asked some questions about stocks. Not only can this sassy lady make some killer shoes, but she can also hang with the tough business guys in suits!

Oatmeal Obsession

I don't know if it is because it is cold outside, but everyone in the farylrobin office is lovin' their daily dose of oatmeal each morning. It took me awhile to hop on board this breakfast trend, but I recently have. I got some Heart Healthy Cranberry Instant Oatmeal from Trader Joe's and I love it. Plus, it is so easy to warm up some right when I get in from my walk to work every day.

Anyway, I am curious to know how everyone takes their oatmeal and why they love it (or hate it). I like my plain oatmeal with a little bit of milk and brown sugar. But actually this cranberry stuff I like just fine without adding anything. So please leave a comment if you have an obsession with oatmeal, that especially includes everyone in the farylrobin office! I see you warming up your oatmeal every morning. I am curious to know what you put in it.

I also did a little web search and found a message board at The Post Punk Kitchen, a vegan cooking site where everyone is posting how they take their oatmeal. Check it out, you might just get some new oatmeal ideas! The Post Punk Kitchen also has other awesome recipes too!

As I was looking for delicious oatmeal pictures to post, I stumbled across a pic of Organic Outragous Outback Oatmeal from MaryJanesFarm.com This is a great site carrying alot of organic products.

So enjoy you next bowl of warm, lumpy (or smooth) oatmeal!
