Here's a cool site for very unique ways to carve or decorate pumpkins, ExtremePumpkins.com. I had fun looking through all of the photos. Some are really awesome. The creator of this site's name is Tom Nardone. If you have a question about a pumpkin, he is the one to ask. There are pumpkin carving tips, design strategy, pumpkin preservation, power tools, fire, light & pyrotechnics, and even a recipe for roasting pumpkin seeds. Tom wrote a book about pumpkins. That's how passionate he is about pumpkins. Check it out. I pulled a few pumpkin photos that are my favorite.
I would have a splitting headache too.
The pumpkin monster is attacking the city!!! Look out!
That's a lot of candy corn!

We will miss you Jackie!
So Friday was Jackie's last day at Farylrobin. We hate to see her go but are very excited for her. She is going back to school to become a teacher. She adores children and will make an amazing teacher not to mention role model. Even though she is 5 ft and we constantly poke fun at how small she is, we all look up to her:)
As a going away gift, we found this awesome piggy vase at Urban Oufitters. Jackie loves pigs! I hope one day her dream comes true and she gets a little pet pig of her very own.
It was also an afternoon of food, dessert, and of course champagne.
Nothing but sophistication at Farylrobin. Who needs champagne flutes when you have Farylrobin coffee mugs.
Best of luck Jackie!!!!

Chili! Yum!
Even though it is still summer weather at the end of October, I am getting antsy for the "real" fall weather to begin. So to get in the fall spirit, even with the 80 degree weather, we made chili yesterday in the farylrobin office. We made turkey chili. Trust me, I don't skimp on my chili. There were 4 different types of beans, corn, onions, green pepper, garlic, fire roasted tomatoes, oregano, cayenne, a dash of cinnamon and sugar, and of course chili powder. Even though there were 8 people in the office, I made enough for 20:) So everyone definitely had seconds and some ventured to have thirds. It was pretty fun. The only challenge was chopping the onions. I only cried a little.
Here are some photos to make you drool.

Rock the Robin is back!
For the past couple months our weekly Rock the Robin has not been Rockin'. So to start the fall off right, Felissa from Maletzky Media (our PR firm) is showing you how she plans to rock the bandabees in coffee.
Comfort is key with me, with style coming in a close second. Luckily, once in a while you find a shoe totally worth planning your outfit (or wardrobe…) around. That’s the Bandabees! And that’s what I did! To keep anything from overshadowing the boots, I paired them over J Brand skinny jeans in bruiser (yes, even a shorty like me can rock the skinny). To balance out the bottom, and make me looker taller (only 5-foot-2!), I wanted something longer (buh-bye hips!). I love how this Young, Fabulous and Broke Twiggy vest makes the color of boots pop and is ideal for these crisp fall days. And what outfit is complete without the perfect bag? The Foley + Corinna Bender in brass is big enough for work but transitions easily to relaxed weekends. But most importantly…it matches the boots!

Farylrobin Participates in QVC's FFANY Shoes on Sale
While Donna and Laura were hanging out with underwear models downtown at Bloomies, Faryl, Jim and I were in black tie uptown at the Waldorf Astoria for the annual QVC FFANY Shoes on Sale gala. This annual event raises millions and millions of dollars for breast cancer research by selling shoes from top designers live on QVC for three hours. In addition, throughout October QVC will carry a Shoe of the Day each weekday – until it sells out. Farylrobin has donated some fall shoes to the cause, so be sure to check out the QVC schedule for Shoes on Sale or buy them online at http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/app.html/params.file.%7Cfny%7Cffany2007main,html/left.html.file.%7Cfny%7Cfny_leftnav_2007,html/walk.html.%7Cfny%7Cfny_leftnav_2007,html.

We love underwear models!
Last night we went to an event at Bloomingdale's Soho to promote Farylrobin. It was singles' night at Bloomingdales. In the shoe department, they had chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. We were having fun on the 2nd Floor, but word in the store was that there were male models in their underwear walking around on the men's floor. Well Donna and I had to check it out! Sure enough there were! On the lower level they had models promoting the line 2xist, the Carbon collection. After viewing the collection and getting a polaroid taken with an adorable model in his tighty whities, Donna and I definitely recommend the carbon line to any guy looking for added support:) Donna also posed as an underwear model! Look at that glowing chest and those ripped abs! We definitely had fun!

Part 2 – The Stars Align for Farylrobin at The LA Galaxy Game
On Saturday, October 13, Farylrobin hosted a private VIP suite at the LA Galaxy soccer game for the very top fashion editors and stylists in Hollywood to show off the Spring 08 line. Guests included editors, journalists, freelance fashion and beauty writers, and celebrity stylists from InStyle, The Los Angeles Times, Paper Magazine, Fit Pregnancy, TheTipJar.com, Orange Coast Magazine, Glam.com, LA.com, the Style Network and others.
Everyone ooh-ed and ahh-ed over the upcoming spring line mentioning that the colors look great, the leathers are gorgeous, the heels are so interesting and look very comfortable, and many couldnt decide which color of multiple styles they want.
We had the best time hanging with everyone. After all these years, it was so nice to finally attach faces to the e-mail addresses and voices on the phone that we’ve heard for so long!
Daisy and Stevie
Kathryn and Devin
Aaron, Gigi and Casey
Liane and Deanna
It was a cool 65 degrees outside and even though all of the West Coast peeps thought it was “freezing,” Lia and I savored what was probably our last taste of a warm breeze for some time. The weather outside was no matter though, since our suite was cozy – filled with food and enough alcohol for a small army, and most important – a direct view of David Beckham on the sidelines. We searched and scanned for Posh, but alas, no dice.
trying to get a pic of Becks as he crossed the field
With Faryl at home sick, we were able to link her in via Skype to meet all the wonderful people who attended:
Many of our guests had never been to a soccer game before so it was really fun to be a part of their (and our) first-time experience.
Elyse and Karen
Victor and Karen
Gil and her husband
Thanks to everyone for coming out. We can't wait to see you all again soon.
Oh, and the Galaxy did beat Toronto 2-1!
Until next time,

Part 1 - Behind the Scenes @ Farylrobin's Spring 08 Media Event
As told by Karyn Ravin...
Friday could've started off better. I could've been woken up by my alarm clock, I could've had time to shower, and I could've not missed my flight from JFK to LAX. I've never! For all those who know me, I know what you're thinking - I can't believe it either. I was a little shaken by the entire fiasco, but the minute the wheels touched down in LA (only a couple of hours behind), it was game time. Literally.
For the past several months, we have been planning the first-ever Farylrobin media event in Los Angeles. Faryl really wanted us to create something fun for editors and stylists that would allow them to not only view the spring 08 collection, but do so in an environment that was not typical of fashion brands. So, when it was announced earlier this year that Posh and Becks were headed to Los Angeles, we decided we wanted to be in LA, too. We quickly snagged one of the hard-to-come-by VIP Suites at the LA Galaxy soccer stadium.
We had all been very excited for months about the big event, especially Faryl. She was so excited to meet with all the stylists and editors we always tell her about. Unfortunately, days before it was time to leave, she came down with an awful virus that kept her grounded on the east coast. I quickly enlisted Lia from my office on less than 24hrs notice to come west with me (she was psyched!). We decided Faryl would still be able to meet everyone at the event because we could easily set up Skype in the suite for editors to call her back in NY. Don’t you love technology?!
In our very stylish white Kia, Lia and I arrived safely to The Chamberlain West Hollywood, located just at the foothills of "The Hills" - it was an MTV dream come true. We were tempted to try and find out where Lauren and Audrina's condo complex was located but we resisted temptation and got focused. (However, I’m fairly certain that had there been enough time, we would have found an excuse to drive around until we found it.) We definitely laughed a lot over the weekend, but as you can see from the below itinerary, we worked really, really hard to pull off a great event for Farylrobin. Here's how we spent our time:
Friday, October 12
4:00pm - set up remote office atop our hotel's roof deck and tested our Skype capabilities with Faryl. All was good. We briefly considered moving our offices permanently to the roof deck, forever looking out onto the Hollywood Hills, but we decided we'd miss New York too much.
7:00pm - drove to Bloomingdales Century Plaza to pick up some Farylrobin fall shoes to display in the suite. That's where we met Cyrus (aka the guy who sold Halle Berry the Farylrobin Bounder boot), who cracked us up.
8:00pm - dinner at Iskaya by Katsuya with Hilary Polk Williams from the Michael Flutie Agency to catch up on all the exciting things going on with her fabulous clients -- have you seen Harper's Bazaar's contributing fashion editor Mary Alice Stephenson's new model spoof show on VH1? HYSTERICAL! We ate some amazing sushi. As in, amazing, awesome, can’t stop dreaming about it sushi.
11:00pm - Happily, crashed into bed. Tomorrow is a big day.
Saturday, October 13
8:00am - ran a few miles on the treadmill
9:30am - loaded the Kia with the shoes, gift bag items, suite decor - there was barely any room for lia and we still had shopping to do
9:45am - breakfast at the hotel where Lia and I mapped out our day
10:15am - hopped in the Kia and headed for Nordstom at The Grove, where we met Monica, the floor manager, who was so helpful with getting us shoes for the event. Special shout out to Tony who pulled the shoes and had them waiting for us when we arrived. You rock.
11:30am - shopped at Best Buy for a computer headset so people could Skype with Faryl while the game was going on. We also picked up the Lily Allen CD so we could have some tunes in the suite.
12:00pm - stolled the aisles of Target for various supplies, including a couple of new tank tops and a new bag....why is it that you can never walk in there and only get what you need! ugh! I am excited about my new tanks, though.
1:00pm - IN AND OUT BURGER - it was madness in there. The line was out the door when we arrived. Even though we kinda regretted it later, it was damn good.
2:00pm - headed to the stadium
2:45pm - arrived and unloaded the Kia with the help of our awesome Galaxy contact, Miss Alicia.
2:45 - 6:30pm - we hauled, lifted, tacked, tapped, wiped, vacuumed, stuffed, arranged, prepped, and changed for the event
6:45pm - GAME TIME!
Check out the next blog for more details and photos on how the event went!

Florencia Mia
Hey Everyone –
So we’re (Lisa and I) in Florence for a few days. Faryl ditched us. She said something about having better plans…
Anyway, I really wanted to share something that I read in Paris (a.k.a Vice Central):
“A material is alive: whether it be leather or stone, it’s a vehicle of emotion. One should not hesitate to spend weeks or even travel great distances looking for the right one.”
With those wise words, spoken by a wise man, I leave you. I’ll post picks of this trip if Lisa takes pictures, I forgot my camera.
Ciao.
Happy Birthday Miguel and Taryn!
Well on Friday, we celebrated Miguel's birthday with the traditional cupcakes and cake from Dean & Deluca. Even though Miguel was not here to celebrate, we called him and sang Happy Birthday! I am posting the pictures of the cake now, so he can see what he missed.....chocolate yummmmm! Happy "29th" Miguel!
Also, I found out it was Taryn, our west coast sale rep's birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday! We will definitely have to have cake when she gets back.

Hail, Hail to Angela!
I am easily excited about a new pair of shoes, as I think most of us are, but how amazing is it when your new pair of shoes proves to not only be super stylish, but also super comfortable?! It really takes the excitement to an entire other level. I had this exact experience this weekend.
I debuted the Farylrobin Angela (in pea) on Saturday night. My husband and I were out for dinner with another couple. My girlfriend, who was also road-testing a new pair of fall shoes that evening (not from Farylrobin), commented on them right away. By the end of the night, I was still walking tall and feeling great in the wedges. In fact, I couldn't stop talking about how happy I was in my new shoes that I kept telling everyone that I thought I could actually run in them. Needless to say, the guys really could have cared less so they finally dared me to run the next city block so that maybe I would shut up...
Not only did I run the entire city block in them, but I defintely didn't shut up!! I officially own the most comfortable and stylish wedges on the planet! I can't wait to wear them again. Oh, and by the way, my girlfriend was basically crippled by the pain of her new high-heeled mary janes.....and, she went online that night and ordered the Angelas from Zappos.com. I may need to buy them in black now, too!
Kudos to Faryl and the design team. These shoes ROCK!!!!!!!!

Welcome to Vice Central!
Miguel, Lisa and I spent 4 lovely days in Paris! I don’t know if you can tell from these photos but we are exhausted! We went to Paris to attend a leather show. Some of the photos are taken at the show, some shopping the "marche a puce" or flea market. My favorite is the photo of Lisa kissing the Sumo poster at the restaurant Kong. For those of you that don’t know, that is the restaurant that Carrie met Aleksandr Petrovsky's wife for the first time. The view is incredible-as Victor put it, eating in a blimp. Paris by night, specifically the LVMH office is breathtaking. Victor was a wonderful host and aside from a little stomach flu, exhaustion, too many cigarettes, too much cleavage and way too much alcohol, we had a great time together.
Vice Cental at it’s best! I took the photo’s so I’m not in them-which is a good thing since I was the one with the stomach flu!
Happy day,
Faryl
